Will of H.J. Furgerson 1913

Transcribed by descendant, from a photocopy of the original, some words in the

will do not make sense to me, but that is what was written. Ferguson was

spelled both "Furgerson" and "Fergerson" in this document.

Harris Joshua"Jop" Furgeson is buried with his wife, Sarah Pettus Crafton Ferguson, in Oakland

Cemetery in Trenton: 30 Jan 1832 - 27 May 1913. He was a Second Lieutenant in

the Confederate Army. He had three daughters. Sallie Mai Boyd Bryant, mentioned

in the will, is the daughter of the oldest one, Mary Elizabeth Ferguson BOYD.

Sallie & Mary are also buried in Oakland. I have more information on these

families and would like to hear from descendants. Stephanie Carson Feldman

Will of H. J. Furgerson

I H. J. Furgerson being of sound mind and disposing memory do make & publish

this as my last will & testament, hereby revoking any & all wills heretofore

made by me. 1st I will & direct that all of my just debts be paid as soon after

my death as practical. 2nd I will & direct that a double monument, to cost not

exceeding sixty dollars, to be placed at the graves of my wife & self 3rd I

give, grant, devise & bequeath unto my grand daughter Sallie May BRYANT, wife of

Charlie Bryant, all of the property, real, personal & mixed of every king and

nature of which I may die seized & possessed including all of my notes and

accounts and choses in action. 4th I hereby nominate & appoint M. H. TAYLOR

executor of this my last will & testament. This May 22 1913
