The David Crockett Chapter, United States Daughters of 1812

The David Crockett Chapter of the United States Daughters of 1812 was formed on January 10, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas. The chapter's organization was presided over by State President Mrs. Karen Hall, with Mrs. Sara-Ella Kurth, Sr., of the William Gann Chapter of Lufkin, Texas, and Organizing President Mrs. Frances Pryor also present.

Sixteen founding members, all already members of the United States Daughters of 1812, formed the chapter: Mrs. Virginia Bridge, Mrs. Sandy Coggins, Mrs. Barbara Harrell, Ms. Nancy Hogan, Mrs. Sydney Holmesly, Mrs. Ruby Jones, Mrs. Lorraine Kircher, Mrs. Patsy McKelvy, Mrs. Ina Morris, Mrs. Amali Perkins, Mrs. Frances Pryor, Mrs. Donna Raymond, Mrs. Lahoma Russell, Mrs. Corinne Staacke, Mrs. Dorothy Welch, and Mrs. Mary Isabella Williams. Mrs. Peggy Jared and Mrs. Bertha Stone attended as prospective founding members. The chapter was unanimously named for David Crockett.
