information on this family and would like to hear from descendants. Shadrick

COLE was born in Wake County, NC and married second, Nancy GOODWIN there. Some

of his children stayed in Gibson County and others moved to Texas.

Shadrick H Cole's Will

In the name of God amen, I Shadrick H COLE of the County of Gibson and state of

Tennessee, of the age sixty-six years, and being of sound mind and memory do

make publish and decree this my last will and testament in manner following that

is to say

-First, that all my past debts shall be liquidated.

-Second, I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy G COLE one sixth of all my real

and personal estate, and I further bequeath enough of the necessaries of life to

maintain her for twelve months according to law.

-Third, I give and bequeath and devise to my daughter Susan Oliver, now Susan

RICHARDSON, one sixth of all my real and personal estate.

-Fourth, I give and devise to my daughter Sophronia Paralee, now the wife of J.

M. DAVIS one sixth of all my real and personal estate.

-Fifth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Emily Frances, now the wife of Robert

DODSON, one sixth of my real and personal estate.

-Sixth, I give and devise to my son James Monroe COLE one sixth of all my real

and personal estate.

-Seventh, I give and devise to my son Rufus H COLE one sixth of my real and

personal estate.

-Eighth, I give and devise to my daughter Martha Ann widow of John C FOSTER the

sum of five dollars with that part heretofore set off for her.

-Ninth, I give and devise to my daughter Sarah Jane, the wife of James EDWARDS,

the sum of five dollars with that portion heretofore set apart for her.

-Tenth, the sum of five dollars to each of my daughters, Martha Ann Foster and

Sarah Jane Edwards, shall be deducted from the sixth portion of the several

legateas, and paid over to them.

-Lastly, I do hereby nominate and appoint Robert J Dodson to be executor of this

my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me wridden? -- In

witness whereof, I have hereonto set my hand and seal, this 11th day of December

in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and sixty seven. S H Cole
