This cemetery is located next to the Salem Missionary Baptist Church, which is located at 202 Leslie Scruggs Rd., Gibson Co., TN.
This is the church that was burned in Dec. 1995, and on which President Clinton and Vice-President Gore worked in Aug. 1996.
The land for the church was sold to the trustees in April 1872, and registered in July 1872, by N. A. Coleman and Ann Eliza Coleman - his wife.
Later, according to the church history, more land was purchased for the cemetery.
