The Crockett Times Alamo, Tenn. Thursday, May 16, 1946 Richard Lee Finch Richard Lee Finch died at the Fitts-White Clinic in Jackson, Monday, May 13, following an illness of several months. He had been in the hospital 10 days. Mr. Finch was a native of Crockett County and all of his active life was spent in farming. He was known and respected for his honesty and fair dealings. Throughout the years he made and retained a wide circle of friends. He was 69 and a member of the Christian Church of Crockett Mills. Funeral services were held at Pond Creek Methodist Church, Tuesday at 3 p.m. by Bro. Frank Perry and Rev. L. M. Napper. Burial in Pond Creek Cemetery with Ronk Funeral Home in charge. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Finch; one daughter, Mrs. Dewey Knight of Dyersburg; one son, Leal Finch of Crockett Mills; one sister, Mrs. Cora Taylor of Crockett Mills; one grandson, Durwood Finch and one grand daughter, Sue Nell Knight. |
