Jeff Davis

Jeff Davis, 77, died at his home in Gadsden Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Mr. Davis was a retired farmer and was also for several years manager of a cotton gin at Gadsden. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church and one of the community's most highly respected citizens.

His wife; three sons, Garvin Davis and Harless Davis of Gadsden, and the Rev. Carl Davis of Erin, Tenn.; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Willoughby and Mrs. David Williams of Gadsden and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Tatum of Alamo, survive.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Salem Presbyterian Church with the Rev. A. D. Saulsbury officiating.
