These copied pages of the Family Bible of Bettie Harris Hudgins were given to me by my mother last year. Bettie was the wife of my great grandfather's brother Samuel Egbert Hudgins. Hudgings was born Sept. 9th, 1854 Bettie Harris Hudgings was born Jan. 21st 1859 Laura Ethel Hudgings was born Aug. 26th ( date can't be seen) Mary Eunice Hudgings was born July 30th 1881 Lucy Oneta Hudgings was born Nov.12th 1884 Samuel G****** Hudgings was born Jan. 2nd 1887 Daniel Hudgings was born Oct. 20th 1889 Jesse Hudgings was born Oct.29th 1894 Ernest Stuart Edwards was born Feb. 16th 1904 (notation Jackson, TN) Lucy Emaline Hudgings was born Feb. 23rd, 1833 Laura Ethel Hudgings JR was born Shreveport, LA Feb. 8, 1908 Beverly Adrienne Hudgings born Jan. 2, 1935 Shreveport, LA 3rd page of Bible: Marriages S. E. Hudgings and L. E. Harris ( notation at top says Lucy Elizabeth) were married Oct. 22nd 1877. E. O. Edwards and Mary Eunice Hudgings were married Feb. 6th 1902 J. Hal Price and Laura Ethel Hudgings were married Aug. 22, 1906 S. G. Hudgings and Maude Allen Satcher married April 21, 1907 C. E. Beck and Lucy Oneta Hudgings were married Jan. 12, 1908 Julian Harrison & Jesse Hudgings were married Aug. 6th 1914 Dan D. Hudgings and Bessie Lee Oliver married Aug. 1920 Beverly Adrienne Hudgings & Robert H. Seabrook were married June 16, 1958 in Covington, KY 4th page of Bible: Deaths Newton Harris was born Aug. 14th 1801, died Aug. 14th 1882. Age 81 yrs. Mrs. Nancy Harris was born Feb. 14, 1802, died May 24, 1893 Thos. Hudgings was born in Nottoway Co. VA April 20, 1795 died Oct. 17, 1876 Rebecca ( Truitt) Hudgings was born in Nottoway Co. VA Aug. 4th 1771 died in Gadsden, Tenn Aug. 12, 1858 S. E. Hudgings died Nov. 3, 1922 Bettie Harris Hudgings died Dec. 4, 1953 at 8:40 a.m. Lucy Hudgings Beck died Nov. 2, 1961 Dan D. Hudgings died Aug. 13, 1962 Sam G. Hudgings died Oct. 24, 1965 I have to the best of my ability transcribed these pages.
