Davis & Wife ) Know all men by these presents that we Ira Davis & Wife Lizzie Davis ) for the consideration hereinafter stated have this day bargained sold To------------Deed ) transferred and conveyed unto M. J. Kilzer the following described real ) estate lying, being and situated in the 4th civil district of Crockett County M. J. Kilzer ) Tennessee and desribed as follows: ) Beginning at a stake in the North East corner and at the South East corner $800.00 ) of Joe Betts land runs South 72-6/17 poles to a stake thence West 85 ) to a Stake; thence North 72-6/17 poles to a stake in Joe Betts North ) boundary line; thence East 85 poles to the beginning, containing by 4th District ) estimation 38 acres, to be the same more or less. To have and to hold ) the above described real estate unto M. J. Kilzer heirs and assigns forever. 38 Acres ) The consideration for the above conveyance is as follows: Eight Hundred & ) no/100 Dollars ($800.00) Cash in hand paid and we convenant with the above State Tax--80 cents ) mentioned grantee that we are lawfully seized and possessed of the above ) described estate that we have a good right to sell and convey the same that Pd R.L. Conyers Clerk) it is free and unencumbered and we will forever warrant and defend the title to the same against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Witness our hands this 2nd day of November 1912 Ira R. Davis Lizzie Davis State of Tennessee County of Crockett Personally appeared before me C. V. Young a Notary Public in and for said State and County duly commissioned sworn and acting the bargainors in the foregoing and attached deed Ira R. Davis and his Wife Lizzie Davis with both of whom I am personally acquainted who severally acknowledged that they executed the said deed for the purposes therein contained and Lizzie Davis Wife of the said Ira Davis having appeared before me privately and apart from her Husband she the said Wife Lizzie Davis acknowledged the execution of said Deed to have been done by her freely voluntarily and understandingly without compulsion or constraint from her said Husband and for the purposes therein expressed.
