Daniel West was our maternal great-great grandfather and

Noel E. West was his brother.

Noel E. West } Registered July 22nd 1857

} I, Noel E. West have this day bargained and sold

To----Deed } and do hereby transfer and convey to Daniel West

} and his heirs forever for the consideration of

Daniel West } one hundred and fifty Dollars to me paid a tract

of land in the state of Tennessee Gibson County

and District No. 1 containing by estimation fifty acres and bounded

as follows: Beginning at Robert Campbell Southeast corner thence

west one hundred and eight poles to a post oak Robert Campbell

Southwest corner thence South seventy four poles to a stake and

pointer thence East one hundred and eight poles to a stake and

post oak pointer thence North with John Price's line to the

beginning to have and to hold the same to the said Daniel West

his heirs and assigns forever. I do covenant with said Daniel West

that I am lawfully seized of such land have a good right to

convey it and that the same is unencumbered. I do further covenant

and bind myself my heirs and representatives to warrant and forever

defend the title to the said land and every part thereof to the

said Daniel West his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims

of all persons whatever this 21st day of March 1848.

within named Noel E. West with whom I am

personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the

within deed for the purposes therein contained.
