Who...What...Where Photos

All I know about this picture is that it is a gathering of the Browning's, Crocker's and Wallis families; they all lived in Gibson County; Oscar Crocker was the photographer, he lived in Milan, Tn.; he married Fannie Wallis; I call the picture "Hunting Time".  Hope someone can help me out in identifying some of these people; the persons I know are as follows Back row; left to right; 3rd person; "Little Mammie: is Susan (Foster) Wallis, wife of Thomas Wallis;  the 7th woman holding child is Minnie Oakes (Young) Wallis; wife of William Elias Wallis, who was the son of Thomas and Susan(Foster)Wallis; Minnie Wallis was 50%Cherokee blood line, last man holding gun is Thadeous Edward Wallis, son of Thomas and Susan.  Front row; last boy on the right is Thomas Benton Crocker, son of Oscar and Fannie(Wallis)Crocker.  Submitted by Ermazine Woodward


Red Anthony has a Gibson photo posted at http://tn-roots.com/tngibson/photos/WPA_workers.htm that he only knows who two of the men are.  Can anyone identify the rest?

After looking at the photo you posted my sister and I were sure our father would know these folks.  Standing in the back roe center is
Roy Holmes and to the right is his wife, Kate Pounds Holmes.  On the far right is Aunt Dora Cribbs and her husband William Eaton (Uncle Pete) Cribbs.  The children in the picture are the children of Roy and Kate.  My father is Bud Cribbs he is the son of Doss C. Cribbs and Viona Pounds Cribbs Pope.

Photo says on outside of a cardboard cover "Campus Autographs"   and it was taken in Martin, TN.  This young man was obviously going to the U. of Tennessee in Martin.  My great-aunt, Annie Wilson in Bowie, Tx. owned this photo.
