BELEW'S CHAPEL BAPTIST CHURCH CEMETERY

This cemetery was originally under the care of Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. When that church dissolved, Belew's Chapel took the cemetery over. Belew's Chapel was established in 1910, so around that time, the cemetery became known officially as "Belew's Chapel Cemetery."

HOPEWELL CEMETERY

Located on Hwy 152, Hopewell is 1.8 miles east of Hwy 45 near Medina, TN. History indicates land for this cemetery was donated by the Watt family for the purpose of a "praying house and public burying ground". At this reading there is at least one stone named "Haley" and multiple stones names "Watt" with burial dates of 1852. This author has not documented earlier burials without stones, but it is believed there are unmarked graves throughout the cemetery. Copied by Barbara Foutch Warren. Copied 1997
