MRS. MARGARET PIRTLE

 

Mother of Memphian Dies at Age 80

 

    Mrs. Margaret Stevens Pirtle of 3156 Lamphier, widow of Robert B.

Pirtle, died at 8:45 a.m. yesterday at Oakhaven Nursing Home.  She was

80.

    Born in Nashville, Tenn., she had lived in Chattanooga for many years before 

she moved to Memphis in 1949.  Mrs. Pirtle was a member of Highland Park

Christian Church in Chattanooga.

    She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eva R. Dickson of the Lamphier address;

two sisters, Mrs. T. G. Tucker of 805 Stonewall, Mrs. E. J. Bettis of 3007

Skyway; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

    Funeral arrangements are incomplete with Memphis Funeral Home

in charge.
