WILLIAM RAPHAEL ‘PETE’ EDMISTON, 66, President of Pete Edmiston Plumbing and Heating Co., died of cancer Saturday at Baptist Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Gardens. He was member of the Park Avenue Masonic Lodge 362 F& AM, the Scottish Rite, Zaman Grotto and the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department Reserve Unit for 17 years. He was a shrine ambassador at the Al Chymia Shrine Temple and was past president of the Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors and the Memphis Plumbing Association. Mr. Edmiston the husband of Peggy Ramelle Reason Edmiston, also leaves three daughters, Barbara Edmiston Tharp of Copenhagen, Denmark, Nancy Edmiston Bryant of Lakewood, Tenn., and Robbie Edmiston Harker of Memphis and four grandchildren. The family requests that any memorials be sent to Raleigh Christian Church.
