Edmiston and mother of Martha Kneece of West Palm Beach, FL, and Dr. Joseph Edmiston of Hendersonville, TN, died Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel with interment at West Union Cemetery in Millington. She also leaves her daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Edmiston; two sisters, Juanita Rast of Memphis and Amanda Steffin of Appleton, WI; two brothers, Herbert F. Massey, Jr. of Lexington, KY and Robert Massey of Williamsburg, KY; three grandchildren, Dena Petrides of Lake Worth, FL, Susan Shore of Hobe Sand, FL and Joshua Edmiston of Hendersonville, TN; and three great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, January 28, and funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, January 29, both at Munford Funeral Home Millington Chapel. She was a member of Quito United Methodist Church and a board member of Parent/Guardian Association of Arlington Development Center. Mrs. Edmiston was preceded in death by her husband of over 30 years, Charles E. "Buddy" Edmiston; a son, David Jones; and a sister, Eleanor Bowers. She is survived by two daughters, Debra (Fred) Gilliam and Diana Edmiston, both of Memphis; three sisters, Lynn Waterman, JoAnn Mann, and Peggy Chocas, all of Memphis; two brothers, Abe Massey of Bartlett and Marvin "Buck" Massey of Whiteville; and three grandsons, Andrew, Paul and Matthew Gilliam, all of Memphis. Memorial contributions may be sent to the donor's choice.
