Funeral Service Today for Longtime Resident
 
    Mrs. Jimetta Bettis of 7020 Highway 51 North, widow of Eugene Johnson
Bettis, died at 12:35 a.m. yesterday at Baptist Hospital after a year's illness.
She was 81.
 
    Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today at Memphis Funeral Home with burial
in Forest Hill Cemetery. 
 
    Mrs. Bettis was born in Nashville and lived in Memphis about 65 years.
She was a member of Decatur Street Christian Church.  She was active in
the Marine Corps Mothers Club during World War II and with the Travelers
Aid Society.
 
    She leaves a son, Warren G. Bettis of Frayser; two daughters, Mrs.
Arrabelle Sixsmith and Mrs. Jimetta Winter, both of Millington; a sister,
Mrs. T. G. Tucker of 805 Stonewall, five grandchildren and nine great-
grandchildren.
