– Mrs. Vennie Knott Williams, 84, died Friday afternoon at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Lorene McCartney, here.
She was the widow of Carroll Williams.
She was a lifelong resident of
Gibson
County
.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at
Idlewild
Baptist
Church
with the Rev. H. A. Douglas of
Milan
officiating. Burial at the Idlewild
cemetery with Hunt Funeral Home in charge.
She was a member of the
Shiloh
General
Baptist
Church
.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs.
McCartney and Mrs. Effie Sellers of Bradford and Mrs. Eunice Vick of
Chicago
; four sons, W. G. Williams, Fred Williams and Odis Williams, all
of Bradford, and
Henry Williams of Atwood; a sister, Mrs. Eula Page of Greenfield; 20
grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
