Media Lowrance Davis, TRENTON

Funeral services for Media Lowrance Davis, 87, will be Thursday, January 2, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Shelton Funeral Home in Trenton with burial to follow in Yorkville Cemetery.

Mrs. Davis, a homemaker; an active member of the First Baptist Church in Trenton and the Kenozelian Sunday School Class, died Tuesday, December 31, 2002.

Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of sixty three years, George Davis of Trenton; two sons, George Robert Davis and wife Sheila of Milan, TN., Jerry Davis and wife Gladys of Martin, TN; daughter, Jane Gowan and husband Ricky of Trezevant, TN; three sisters, Vera Fletcher of Dyer, TN., Lavern Thorton of Trenton, TN., Georgia Singleton of Cordova, TN; five grandchildren, Jamie Davis, Scott Davis, Ginger Davis, Brad Davis and Jonathan Gowan and two great grandchildren, Faith Davis and Brentley Davis.

Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by four brothers, Alvie D. Lowrance, Virgie Lowrance, Hollis Lowrance and John W. Lowrance and two sisters, Birdie Campbell, Aliene Dodson and one grandson, Michael Allen Davis.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Today at the funeral home.
