Maryville Times, (Blount Co. TN) Wednesday, August 30, 1893:

"Mrs. Nancy Barnett died last week near Humboldt. [Gibson Co. Tennessee] She was one of the oldest ladies in the community, very highly respected and beloved by all who knew her. She was nearly 80 years old and has been a consistent member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church."
