Calvin was born 1820 In Wilson Co TN and Died in Gibson Co TN. He married Valeria R Rice
March 12, 1843 in Wilson Co, TN by James P Drennan JP Valeria was the daughter of Thomas
Rice & Mary Bradshaw. This is confirmed by several entries in the Circuit Court Records of
Wilson Co TN. Calvin Quinley is listed as a Trustee of Mary Rice in her Father ( Thomas
Bradshaw’s) Estate matters, Jan 1850. There is another entry where C H Quinley recieves
the Share of Mary Rice in the Estate of Mary Borum Bradshaw, her mother.

Calvin age 30 Valeria 23, Mary 5, Dedama 3 are listed in the 1850 Wilson Co TN Census.
Valeria is thought to have died Nov 8, 1867 or at the birth of son James Calvin Quinley,
or shortly thereafter. She appears on the 1860 Gibson Co TN Census, but Calvin is a
Widower in 1870. No Tombstones or gravesites have been found as of this date for Calvin
and Valeria. Their Children include:

Mary Jane Quinley, Referred to as Aunt Mollie Quinley. She never married. She was born in
August of 1845 in Wilson Co, TN. She died about 1939 in Crockett Co, TN. She is buried in
Old Providence Cemetery in Crockett Mills, Crockett Co, TN

Didama Annie Quinley (named for her Aunt Didama Rice) was born March 1847 in Wilson Co TN
and died in Crockett Co TN in 1904. She was the 2nd Wife of John Wesley Wright who had
been married to her 1st Cousin Mary Jane Rice the dau of Jasper Newton Rice, her Mother’s
Brother. Wesley & Mary had 1 child, Bedford Greene Wright (named for his Uncle, Bedford B
Rice) Bedford Wright married

Buelah Avery, The daughter of Drury Vinson Avery & Lucy Catherine Boswell, Sister to
Napoleon Boswell, whom married Elizabeth Dye. Mary Jane Rice " Mollie" married John Wesley
Wright Dec 28, 1875. It is widely thought she died at the birth of her son, Bedford in
1877. Annie Quinley married Wesley Wright Oct 24, 1877 in Gibson Co TN. ( This Part of
Gibson Co, became part of Crockett Co, TN) Wesley was born Jan 1856 and died in 1927 in
Crockett Co TN, Annie and Wesley are buried in Old Providence Cemetery in Crockett Co, TN.
J W Wright was the co-bondsmen on the Marriage of his former sister in law/cousin in law
Sarah Ann Rice’s marriage to John Dye in Dec 1879. Their Children include: Lillie B Wright
1878, James A Wright b May 27, 1882 d Nov 10, 1973, Almer C Wright and Elmer J Wright ,
twins born Jan 1886, Rosa F Wright b Nov 1888 (more children are unknown) , After Calvin
died, Annie took in her younger siblings to live with her.

Elizabeth R Quinley (known as Bettie) was born in 1850 in Wilson Co TN. She married Andrew
Robertson Swindle on Dec 29, 1875 in Gibson Co, TN. She was his 2nd Wife, he had married
Fannie Taylor Feb 6, 1873 in Dyer Co, TN previously.

A R Swindle was the son of William D Swindle and Margaret Halsey of Lake Co, TN.

William D Swindle was the son of Isiah Swindle and Julianna Hickman. His Sister, Kesiah C
Swindle married Jasper N Rice who was the Brother of Valeria Rice Quinley. Andrew died in
1877, It is thought they had 1 child, Maggie Lee Swindle.

I am unaware of where they are buried.

Thomas Olander Quinley was born in 1853 in Gibson Co TN and died in 1928 in Dyer Co, TN He
married Sarah F Pate Feb 26, 1874 in Gibson Co TN. Their children include, James Calvin
Quinley (named for his Uncle)

b July 27, 1874 in Crockett Co, TN and died Sep 9, 1961 in Dyer Co, TN. He married Ann
Katherine Hemby April 7, 1907 in Lauderdale Co, TN. Ann was born Dec 8, 1880 in Sardis,
Henderson Co, TN And died Aug 27, 1930 in Ripley, Lauderdale Co, TN. James Calvin Quinley
is buried in Bowen Chapel Cemetery in Dyer Co,TN.

Ann is buried in Grace Cemetery in Lauderdale Co, TN. The Daughter of Tom & Sarah Quinley
was Maggie L born 1879.

James Calvin Quinley was born Nov 8, 1867 in Gibson Co, TN. And died June 22, 1938 in
Crockett Mills, Crockett Co, TN.
He married Tennessee Carolina Wright, March 14, 1888 in Crockett Co, TN. She was born Sep 5, 1867 and died
July 1, 1948 in Crockett Co, TN Their Children include: William Estel
Quinley born Sep 16, 1902 and died April 22, 1980 in Crockett Co, TN. John M Quinley born
1891 and died 1968 and married Bertha M Reece Dec 25, 1913 They are buried at Belle Vernon
Cemetery in Crockett Co, TN. ( unsure of the rest of the children of this couple)
