John "Thomas "Boswell was the son of John Boswell & Catherine “ Kitty” Simpson.

He was Born Aug 14, 1804 in Caswell Co NC. He died in June 1870 in Crockett Co TN.

Thomas married 1^st , his cousin, Sarah Simpson the daughter of Roger Simpson (Kitty’s brother).

Roger Simpson moved his family to Giles Co TN by 1830.

Thomas and Sarah Boswell followed. They had 2 sons, John Dixon Boswell & James Thomas Boswell.

Children of John D & Lucy Boswell : John T, William L, Altermon Henry “ Pete”, Dixon D, James R , Stephen Jerry Boswell , Children moved to Texas after Dick’s death about 1875.

 Children of James T Boswell (married Emeline Jane Avery) Sallie M Caruthers, Ida J, Nola, James T, John  (married Evie Warren) Cora, & Lela.

By 1840 Sarah Simpson Boswell had died and was buried in Simpson Cemetery in Giles Co TN.

Thomas married Elizabeth Pully , the daughter of James Pully Sr and Lucy Moss.

They moved to Gibson Co TN By 1860. This part of Gibson Co became Crockett Co TN.

Their known Children are:

Lucy Boswell Avery  married & divorced Drew Avery. Drew remarried to Harriett Peal.Children of Drew & Lucy: Ida, James, Mary, Martin Luther (married Emma Summers), Cleopatra Lewis, Minnie & Bula (married BEDFORD WRIGHT) and Elizabeth " Bettie" (married MIT WATSON)

Charles A Boswell married Rosann Avery, Charles divorced and remarried W J Thompson. Rose married R K Boon and then F M Welborn, Logan Co KY. Children of Charles & Rose: Walter (married Sarah Ella Lytle), Charles Edgar (buried in Providence Cemetery), James T, Nicademous D “ Nick” (married Ella Goddard, Kennett MO) and  Maggie M Boswell.

Margaret Boswell Holland married JW Holland, shed died at age 30 buried in Quincy Cemetery.

Napoleon Boneparte Boswell married Sarah Elizabeth “ Lizzy’ Dye , Napoleon is  buried in Loyd Cemetery in Dunklin Co Missouri Children of Napoleon and Lizzy :Ewing , Alfred Thomas, Liza, William R (married Annie Griffin Young, Kennett, MO) Minnie (married David Dye,  Holcomb, MO) , Mollie (married Frank White, G Cruse, & Rome Pate), Myrtle (married Thomas G Watson).

John C B “ Doc” Boswell married Nancy “ Nannie”  Avery  Children of Doc & Nannie :Elgin, Nora E, Edna L, Henry C, James E, Naoma E, &  William C. Boswell.  The lived in Blytheville, AR in 1930 with T D Rhodes and Vera Lamb Boswell Rhodes, who had been previously married to thier son Henry C Boswell.
