This indenture made this 18th day of January A. D. 1834 between Priscilla Harper of the County of Gibson & State of Tennessee of the one part and John T. Kearny of the County of Warren & State of North Carolina of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Priscilla Harper for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars paid to her in hand the receipt whereof she does hereby acknowledge herself thereby fully satisfied and paid hath given, granted, bargained, sold, conveyed and confirmed & by these presents doth fully and absolutely give, grant, bargain & sell unto him said Kearny his heirs & assigns forever a parcel of land bounded as follows, Viz. Beginning at a Red Oak in the Road and thence along the road South West to a white oak on the east side of the road ; thence a Northwardly course to the Deep Branch thence down said branch to a white oak & black gum & from thence to the beginning corner containing 10 (Ten) acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold unto him the said Kearny his heirs and assigns forever & I the said Priscilla Harper her heirs and assigns do warrant & forever defend the right and title of the aforesaid parcel of

land to him the said John T. Kearny free from the claim of any person or persons whatsoever. In witness whereof the said Priscilla Harper has hereunto set her hand & seal the day & date above written. Priscilla Harper (Seal)
