H. Goodloe and Wife This indenture witnesseth that we M.H. Goodloe and wife Elizabeth Goodloe, Gibson County, Tennessee for and in consideration of the sum of Seven Hundred Dollars to us Hand paid in a tract of land and other matters about 1871 between us and Henry A. King in which trade and transaction conveyed on 2 November 1871 to Henry A. King an undivided and half interest in the land hereinafter described have this day bargained and sold and do hereby convey unto Susan E. King wife of said Henry A. King of Gibson County, Tennessee the following described land, to wit One undivided half interest in the following described tract of land to wit Situate lying and being bounded North by lands of Taylor and Boyd formerly Richardson's land, East by T____ Gleason's land, West by old G.B. ___der land containing about 139 acres being the same land occupied now jointly by ourselves and said H.A. King and family. We however hereby expressly reserve to ourselves the exclusive possession and enjoyment of said ½ undivided interest to be possessed and owned in fee simple by the said Susan E. King her heirs and assigns forever. And we covenant with the said Susan E. King and bind ourselves and heirs and legal representatives to forever warrant and defend the title to the above described ½ undivided interest in said land against the lawful claims of all persons whatsoever.
