State of Tennessee ] This indenture made and entered between Daniel Gibson County ]
West of the county and state aforesaid of the first part and F. J. Fly of the county
and state aforesaid Daniel West ] of the second part witness that the said Fly has
this day sold unto Daniel West for and in consideration of the sum of seven hundred
dollars to me in hand paid a certain tract of land in the county and state aforesaid
District 1 containing by estimation ninety six and a half acres bounded as follows:
To wit beginning at James Sloan's southwest corner running west 196 Vz poles to N &
West east boundary line and then north with his line 75 poles to his north boundary
line thence east 99 1A poles with West's and Gates line thence north 7 Vi poles with
Gates east boundary line thence east 97 poles with J, B. Hinson south boundary line
thence south 82 Vz poles to the beginning. To have and to hold the said grant of land
and premises to said Daniel West his heirs and assigns forever and I hereby warrant
and defend the title of the afore described land for his use and benefit against the
claims of every person whatever. This the 18th day of November in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five as witness my hand and seal

State of Tennessee ] Personally appeared before me J. E. Wood
Gibson County ] Clerk of the County Court of said county
G. W. West & J. H. Barnwell the two subscribing witnesses to the deed who being first
duly sworn deposes and said that they were acquainted with F. J. Fly the bargainer &
that he acknowledge in their presence the de execution of the deed for the purposes
therein expressed. Witness my hand at office this the 20th day of November 1865.
