This Indenture made and entered into this 28th day of July one thousand Eight Hundred and fifty one by and between William Clement and Samuel Malone of the one part and Samuel [Lovt, Lourt, ?], J. W. Carter, George B. Clement George W. Gill David Darr Philip B. Carter & Calvin C. Clement of the other party Witnesseth that the Said Wm Clement & Samuel Malone for and in Consideration of the respect they have for the Methodist Episcopal Church South hath given granted and released and by these presents doth give release and convey unto the Said Sam Suel [Lort ?] J. W. Carter George B. Clement George W. Gill David Darr Philip B. Carter and Calvin C. Clement and their Sucessors Trustees in trust for the use and benefit of a preaching house and Campground - Know by the name Palestine So long as it remains a public place of worship for the Methodist Episcopal South and after the church shall cease if ever to return back to the Said Wm Clement and Samuel Malone bounded as follows Beginning at Jasper N. Clement's South east corner then South ____ poles to a stake thence West ___ poles to a stake thence North ____ poles to a Stake thence East ___poles to a stake thence East to the Beginning containing [page 340] Four acres we the assignees give two acres a peace (sic) to have and to hold with all and singular the rights profits emoluments hereditaments and appurtenances of in and to the only proper use and behoof of the Sd Trustees or their Successors in office for the above named purposes In Witness whereof the said Clement & Malone have hereunto affixed their hands and seals the day and year above written

Clement subscribing witnesses to the within deed who being duly Sworn depose and say that they are acquainted with Wm Clement & Samuel Malone & that they acknowledged the Same in their presence to be their act & deed upon the day it bears date
