Crocker Family Bible
How did I get these images? I have been corresponding with another Gibson Co., Tennessee researcher, John Scott Adams of Allenhurst, Georgia. Scott is researching the Swindell's of Gibson Co. and he has sent me some information about Hollowell Swindell.
During the course of our correspondence, Scott asked me if I was kin to the Crocker's of Gibson Co., specifically if I was related to Mark Crocker. Mark Crocker was my 3rd Great Grandfather and who we believe to be the patriarch of the Crocker's of Gibson Co., Tennessee. It was then that Scott revealed that he has some pages from a Crocker Family Bible.
You can imagine how excited I was to "find" these pages! In fact, I was shaking so much that I had a hard time typing a reply to Scott! Thank you Scott!!!

Henson Nancefield Crocker ason was Bornd Jinuary the 8 1866.
<My Great Grand Uncle. Up until not I had his name as H. Marion "Jack" and I am not sure about the spelling (could be Mancefield) of his middle name or it's origin. It is very unusual and could be a name used somewhere in his mother's ancestry.>

<According to the marriage records of Gibson Co., their marriage was on the 28th of February 1861. I think they were actually married on the 27th and the record was made on the 28th.>

<This is the first "proof" that I have pertaining to the marriage of Oscar Berry Crocker and Sarah J. "Sally" Crocker. She was the daughter of James Monroe and Mary Ann Summers Crocker and Oscar's 1st cousin, once removed. That makes her my Great Grand Aunt and my 2nd cousin, twice removed. It was not unusual for people in those days to marry cousins, especially for a 2nd marriage. James Monroe and Mary Ann are buried at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Gibson Co., Tennessee.>

<Robert Anthony "Mr. Bob" Crocker, my Great Grand Father. Mr. Bob out lived 3 wives and lived to be 79. He also had children by all 3 wives!>
