State of Tennessee Dyer County
July 6th One thousand eight hundred and Sixty Six

I N. A. WHITTENTON of Dyer County fifth civil District of the State of Tennessee being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and Transitory life do therefore make ordain and publish and declare this to be my last will & Testament - That is to say first after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged the residue of my estate real and personal I give bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit. To my beloved wife the land and appertenances Situated thereon Known and described as the bluff Tract of land now owned by the Sd. N. A. WHITTEN lying in Dyer County 5 civil District of Tennessee together will all of my stock consisting of horses cattle hogs sheep also the household and Kitchen furniture To have and to hold against all demands whatever during her life time or widowhood at the experation of sd time - what may yet remain is to be equally divided between my lawful heirs Share & share alike - Likewise I make constitute and appoint my wife E. M. WHITTENTON to be executor of this my last will & testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me - In witness whereof I have hereunto Subscribed my name and affixed my Seal the sixth day of July One thousand eight hundred & sixty six
