James Walker Last Will & Testament July 26, 1841 Peter L Fisher, reg In the name of God, Amen This 19th day of November in the year of Our Lord and One Thousand Eight hundred and Thirty-Six, I, James Walker of Dyer County and State of Tennessee Being in perfect Senses and Memory but low State of health and calling to Mind that Mortality of My Body and knowing that is appointed for all men to die do Make and Ordain this My last will and testament on touching My Worldly Estate Where with has pleased God to Bless me with, I give and dispose of in manner and for ---- follow up, to wit, I give to My Son David M Walker the Sum of five dollars, I give to my daughter Elizabeth R Clardy five dollars, I give to my daughter Martha Ann boyd five dollars, I give to my son Kennon Walker one negro girl Melley and one negro boy Ned and bed and furniture. My sorrel mare and and after the death of my wife Mary Walker one negro woman Blanchy. In the year 1831 I gave to my son Samuel Walker one negro woman Fanny and her child Harrison and it is my will that he keep them. I give to my son James Walker one negro woman Ginney and her child Emaline. I give to my son William T Walker on negro girl Lisey, one bed and bed clothing and one horse. I give to my wife Mary Walker my two negro men George and Phill and one negro woman Blanch to have and to hold until her death then it is my will George come back into the family to be devided between Kennon Walker, Samuel Walker, James Walker and William T Walker and at her death I give my son William T Walker negro man Phil. I also give to my wife Mary Walker one bed and clothing and all cooking vessels and farming implements until her death then the bed and clothing I give to my daughter Catherine Walker and the other articles to be sold and the money divided equaly between Kennon Walker, Catherine Walker and William T Walker and if there is any crop on hand at the time of my death I give to my Wife Mary Walker. Is my will that all my house hold furniture, stock of every kind, save that William ---to the legates -arryale waggon land if any he Hold and the money arrising from the sale be Equally devided between Catherine Walker, Kennon Walker, James Walker and William T Walker and if there is any money on hand at the time of my death and after all my Inst. debts is paid, My will it be devided Equally between my Children, namely Catherine Walker, Kennon Walker, Samuel Walker, James Wlaker and William T Walker and it is my wish and request that my friend David E Parker be my executo and William T Walker Indentured before assigned. signed: James Walker
