Last Will and Testament of SAMUEL B. SHAW dec'd Set up and established Aug. Term 1871 WM. M. WATKINS clerk. State of Tennessee Dyer County In the Name of Almighty God Amen. I SAMUEL B. SHAW of the County of Dyer and State of Tennessee being in bad health but of sound mind and knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do hereby make and constitute this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills by me made. Item 1st - That my body be decently buried when I am dead. Item 2nd - That all my just debts be paid as soon after my death as my Executors here in after mentioned may find it convenient to do so. Item 3rd - I will to my beloved brothers CRAIG N. SHAW and DAVID A. SHAW and my beloved sister MARTHA E. SHAW all of my property of every description both personal and real to be divided between them equally so that each one will receive one third of my estate. Item 4th - I will the fine black mare of mine which my brother THOMAS J. SHAW rode into the confederate Army and got captured to be a set off against the note he holds against me for some Sixty or a hundred dollars it being a note I gave WM. C. WAGSTER. Item 5th - I will that my brothers CRAIG N. and DAVID A. SHAW be and I hereby appoint them executors to carry into effect the provisions of this my last will and testament. Done at my residence in the Fourth Civil District of Dyer County Tennessee on this the 3rd day of June 1871. In witness whereof I hereunto Subscribe my name. SAM''L B. SHAW
