Will of Walter C. Preslar |
Dyer County Will Book F, pp 305-6 FILED: JANUARY 20, 1968 PROBATED: JANUARY 20, 1968 RECORDED: JANUARY 20, 1968 ROBERT D. JONES, JUDGE: LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF WALTER C. PRESLAR I, WALTER, C. PRESLAR, of the 16th Civil District of Dyer County, Tennessee, being of sound mind and disposing memory, but realizing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death, do hereby make and publish this instrument as my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void any and all other wills heretofore made by me. FIRST, I hereby nominate and appoint my oldest son Hosie Preslar as Executor of my estate without bond. SECOND: I hereby direct that my Executor pay all legal debts, if any, owing by me, including incident to my last illness and burial and administration of my estate and request that I be buried in Holly Springs Graveyard lot where my wife has been buried and there is already a double tombstone thereon. THIRD: I hereby will and bequeath to my children, Hosie Preslar, Clifford Preslar, Herbert Preslar, Hershel Preslar, Nettie Preslar Harris, Freddie May Preslar Bledsoe each $10.00, and I hereby will and bequeath all of my personal property of every kind, character and description composed of household and kitchen furniture, farming machinery, all cultivators, tractors, cullar packers, thereon and every other kind of farming implements which I die as the owner of to my son, L.C. Preslar. The reason I am devising to my son L.C. Preslar is that he has lived with me all of his life, and we have farmed together and he is unmarried as I am a widower, and he has helped me to work the farm we operate and accumulated what farming machinery we have. FOURTH: Should my son L.C. Preslar, predecease me, then in that event, I direct that the children sell the farming machinery and divide the household furnishings between them and I believe that they all love each other so as to get equal division thereon. IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto subscribed my name to the foregoing instrument as my last will and testament in the presence of Melvin T. Weakley, Ewell T. Weakley and Genelle B. Christian, and they, at my request, have signed same as subscribing witnesses in my presence and in the presence of each other this April 11, 1963. Walter C. Preslar The foregoing instrument was signed by Walter C. Preslar as his last will and testament in our presnece and we, at his request, in his presence, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as attesting witnesses on this April 11, 1963.
