MARY McKNIGHT dec'd

In the Name of God, Amen.
I, MARY McKNIGHT, of Dyersburg Tennessee, being old and in firm in body, although, thank God, of sound and disposing mind and memory, do hereby make, ordain and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say;

First - I commend my soul to God who gave, and desire that my body be decently buried.

Second - I give and bequeath that lot of ground situate on the east side of St. John Steet - opposite the Baptist Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee, sold to me by W. C. DOYLE, on which my daughter used to live, with all the tenements and appurtenances to my three little grand children, to wit. B. D. MATTHEWS, MARY FREER MATTHEWS, and LUCY MATTHEWS - share and share alike as tenants in common - and their heirs forever.

Third - All the residue of my estate, of every possible character, I will and bequeath to my four grand children, to wit; SAMANNA McKNIGHT and IDA McKNIGHT (daughter of my son SAMUEL A. McKNIGHT) SAMUEL McKNIGHT and LIZZIE McKNIGHT (youngest children of my late son ANDREW REED McKNIGHT) to be equally divided between the four.

Last - I nominate and appoint my friend LUTHER C. McCLERKIN sole Executor of this my last will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my hand and seal December 4, 1878
