April term 1856
In the Name of God, Amen.
I, J. S. McGINNIS of the County of Dyer & State of Tennessee do make & publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all wills by me at any time made. First, I direct that my funeral expenses be paid and that as savingly as possible for the benefit of my little minors and all my debts be paid on demand so as to save interest out of any money that I may die possessed of as may first come into the hands of my executors.
Secondly; I give and bequeath to my four youngest children, SARAH PEMELIA ELIZABETH JANE, LEONOR ANN & AUGUSTUS. Money or means to school them as far as JAMES & JOHN has advanced my oldest sons and then an equal division is my request, my wife having her lawful share and all if she wants it untill death or marriage.
I do hereby nominate & appoint MARTHA McGINNIS my executor in witness whereof I date this my will, set my hand and seal this 29th day of April 1854
