Last will and testament T. W. LANIER Dec'd Probated Nov. Term /87 Recorded Nov. 12th /87 August 25th 1887 Know all men that I, THOS. W. LANIER do hereby make and determine the following as my last will and Testament. First; I desire that my body shall be decently buried and my just debts paid. And Second; that it is my will and desire for THOMAS D. APPLEWHITE to have and to hold the land on which I now live for which I have all ready executed to him a deed which is registered in Book on June the 10th, 1887 - in case there should be any legal defects in said deed. I hereby give and bequeath the said tract or parcel of land to the said THOMAS D. APPLEWHITE his heirs and assigns forever. On condition that he take care of me property during my natural life and pay my Doctors bills and other expenses that may accumilate against me. Third, that I will and bequeath to the said THOMAS D. APPLEWHITE one mule. Fourth, after my death I will and bequeath to my adopted Son P.F. LANIER all my household and kitchen furniture and farming implements, and one mule in case I have two mules at the time of my death. Signed and delivered in presence of THOS. W. LANIER
