Last will & Testament of WILLIAM C. DOYLE dec'd Probated Decr. Term 1882 Recorded December 9/1882 ZACH WATKINS clk. By L. D. HAMILTON D. C. I, WILLIAM C. DOYLE hereby make and publish this my last will and Testament; 1st It is my will that all the property of which I may die seized & possessed be divided among my heirs at law, as provided for under the laws of Tennessee - Except as hereinafter provided. 2nd I am the owner in my own right; and as tenant in common with other parties of lands in the States of Tennessee and Florida - which lands it may be to the interest of my estate and my heirs at law to dispose of - And desiring that, in such a case - that said lands may be sold without the intervention of courts or legal proceedings, I hereby authorize and empower, my Executrix, or any executor cum-tes tamento annexo - That may hereafter be appointed - to sell any or all of said lands, and execute deed or deeds to purchasers thereof - as fully as I could do if I were living, provided however that such deeds be witnessed and approved by one or more of the following named parties, to wit; JOHN W. LAUDERDALE HICK P. DOYLE, E. R. VERNON or M. M. MARSHALL. 3rd My oldest daughter JENNIE has been educated - and desiring that my younger children should have like advantages of education it is my will and I so direct that my executrix - or any executor cum testamento annexo that may hereafter be appointed, expend out of the body of my estate an amount sufficient, judiciously applied to give to each of my younger daughters a like education - That is that they be graduated at a respectable College - and that my son JOHN CARROLL DOYLE be also graduated at some respectable literary school - and then if he so selects - that he be also graduated at a Law, Medical or Theological School; and the sum so expended for the education of my said younger children are not to be charged to them in the distribution of my estate. 4th I hereby nominate and appoint my beloved wife JENNIE DOYLE executrix of this my will and testament, and having full confidence in her judgement fidelity and capability I hereby expressly waive the necessity of her executing bond as executrix.
