Last Will and Testament of CULLEN G. CRIBBS dec'd Probated at April & March terms/75 Recorded April 22, /75 ZACH WATKINS Clerk Know all men by these presents that I, C. G. CRIBBS of Dyer County and state of Tennessee being in good health and of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking all wills by me at any time heretofore made - and as to my worldly estate, and all the personal property I shall die seized and possessed of or to which I shall be entitled at the time of my deceased also the following tracts of land lying and situated in the 7th civil District of Dyer County, Tennessee, bounded as follows: Beginning at JOHN B. FAYS southwest corner running thence east along said FAYS line one hundred and eighteen poles to a stake; thence north one hundred and thirty five and one half poles to a stake: thence west one hundred and eighteen poles to a stake on said FAYS' west boundary; thence south with said line to the Beginning, containing by estimation one hundred acres more or less. 2nd tract bounded as follows; Beginning at a poplar with two gum pointers JAMES WALKERS beginning corner, running thence north fifty six poles and 17 links to an elm with white oak and ash pointers; thence west one hundred and ninety nine poles to a stake with sweet gum, dogwood and Iron wood pointers; thence south fifty-eight poles and 17 links to a white oak with gum pointers WALKERS southwest corner; thence east one hundred and ninety seven & 3/5 poles to the beginning containing by estimation seventy-one acres and one quarter more or less. I devise bequeath and dispose hereof in the manner following to wit; First, my will is that all my just debts and funeral expenses shall by my Executors hereinafter named be paid out of my estate as soon after my decease as shall by them be found convenient - I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife ELIZABETH C. CRIBBS all my personal property of all kinds in possession or in action whatsoever and also the above described lands to have and use during her natural life and at her death to go to my four daughters by my beloved wife ELIZABETH C. CRIBBS equally - That is to say: I wish after the death of my wife ELIZABETH C. that the property (or so much of the personal property as is divided equally between my four daughters H. E. C. CRIBBS, J. CRIBBS, PARCHINA J. E. CRIBBS and SARAH H. CRIBBS and should either of them die without issue before my wife I wish such share or shares to go to the others and to the issues of the others then alive. I have given to my children by my first wife, all the property I intend for them to have out of my estate, except an interest in a tract of about Three hundred acres of land which I have in Carroll County Tennessee - My will is that the above mentioned 300 acres of land, situated in the County of Carroll and State of Tennessee be sold at my death and the money equally divided between all my children by both my first and last wife. And lastly I do nominate and appoint my wife ELIZABETH C. CRIBBS and ______ to be the Executors of this my last will and testament - In testimony whereof I the said C. G. CRIBBS have to this my last will and testament subscribed my hand and affixed my seal this 10th day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight. CULLEN G.
