Mrs. Florence Whitson, 83, of Finley died yesterday at the Ridge wood Nursing Home in Milan. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Nick Thrasher. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgley. J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Flossie Copper of RoEllen; three sons, Chester Eaton of Finley, Vance Eaton and Sherman Whitson of McKenzie; one sister, Mrs. Frances Slaughter of Michigan; two brothers, Albert Thurmond and Stroney Thurmond both of Dyersburg; 26 grandchildren, 30 great- grandchildren, and one great - great grandchild.
