Daily State Gazette, March 19, 1930 Aged Resident Of City Dies Tuesday. Mrs. Sarah White, one of Dyersburg's oldest residents died at six o'clock Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. P. Roberts in the Lauderdale Addition, north Dyersburg. She was 85 years old. Her death resulted from the infirmities of age. Services were held at the residence at two o'clock Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. F. J. Harrell, pstor of the First Baptist church, of which Mrs. White ws a member. The remains were taken to Church Grove cemetery, near Newbern, for burial. Mrs. White had resided in this county practically all her life and for a number of years had made her home in Dyersburg. Besides her daughter, she is survived by one son, W. H. White, Rector, Ark., a brother, Lige Benham, of Rector, also survives. Funeral arrangements were in charge of J. W. Curry and Son of Dyersburg. |
