State Gazette 12 July 1934 Mrs. Helen Wheeler Dies At Richwoods Mrs. Helen Wheeler, 62, well-known resident of the Richwoods community and a native of Dyer county, died late Tuesday at her home there. Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Richwoods Methodist church, of which Mrs. Wheeler was a devout and active member, with the Rev. H. A. Goforth, pastor of the Finley Methodist church, officiating. The remains were taken to Finley for interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her husband, B. G. Wheeler, a respected Dyer county farmer: four daughters, Mrs. Zanna Thompson of Milan, Mrs. Hattie Mai Bishop of McCulloughs Chapel, Mrs. Drucilla Moody of Richwoods and Mrs. Zola McCaw of Dyersburg; three sons, Jesse, Bud and Johnnie Wheeler, all of the Richwoods community. Mrs. Wheeler had spent her entire life in Dyer county and possessed many friends. J. W. Curry & Son of Dyersburg were in charge of the funeral arrangements. |
