Dyersburg State Gazette, Dyersburg, TN, December 1963 Services Monday For Mrs. Walker. Mrs. Cora Walker of the Millsfield community, widow of G. W. Walker, died at her residence at about noon Saturday. She was 86. Born in Dyer county and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Bud and Nannie Neeley Freeman. She had lived at Millsfield for the past 15 years. Funeral services for Mrs. Walker were held at two o'clock yesterday afternoon at Bryant's Chapel Methodist Church. The Reverend Robert Pledge, the Reverend Guy Arant and L. B. Brown officiated. Burial was in Hurrican Hill Cemetery with L. C. Lock, Lewis Lock, Jimmy Harris Jr., George Thomas Harris, George Walker and Bobby Joe Walker serving as pallbearers. J. W. Curry and Son had charge of arrangements. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sam Lock, Millsfield and Mrs. Jimmy Harris, Dyersburg; a brother, Oscar Freeman, Dyersburg; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. |
