David Strawnie "Peberry" Thurmond Mr. David Strawnie " Peberry " Thurmond, 84, of Dyersburg died Tuesday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Wilford Mobley. Visitation will begin today at 5 p.m. in the chapel of J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Flossie Thurmond of Dyersburg; two daughters, Imogene Preslar of Ridgley and Betty Joyce Odle of Dyersburg; two sons, Maxey Thurmond of Dyersburg and Charles Thurmond of Dyersburg; one sister, Frances Slaughter of Detroit, Mich.; 18 grandchildren.
