Mr. Albert ( Red ) Thurmond, 88, of Dyersburg died Thursday morning at Parkview Hospital. He was a retired farmer. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Nolen Criner and Rev. Jerry Ashley. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

He is survied by two daughters, Mrs. June Jordan of Dyersburg and Mrs. Juanita Brimm of Troy; one son, Lexie B. Thurmond of Dyersburg; one sister Frances Slaughter of Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Strawnie Thurmond of Nauvoo, 11 grandchildren, and 18 graet grandchildren.
