Erb A. Taylor Nov 5, 1886 - Jun 12, 1971 Found in the State Gazette June 14, 1971 Esteemed Dyer Countian Dies Final rites for well-known and highly esteemed native Dyer countian, Erb Arthur Taylor, 84 were held this afternoon, Monday at four o'clock at Curry's Chapel. The Reverend Lewis Swafford, officiated and burial followed in Fairview cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Holt, Gerald Reasons, Dolphus Reasons,Jr., James A. Reasons, Ulas Williams, and James A. Dennis. J. W. Curry and Son Funeral had charge of arrangements. Taylor who died Saturday evening at Parkview Hospital was a retired Dyer county farmer and landowner. For some sixty years, he servered as song leader at the First United Methodist Church in Richwoods, where he was an active member. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Alice Williamson Taylor and three sisters, Mrs. Flossie Dennis and Mrs. Lora Holt, both of Finley, and Mrs. Doshee Lipford of Fenton Michigan. |
