Miss Melvina Rouse Services for Miss Melvina Elizabeth Rouse, 76, of Pinson, were today at Friendship Baptist Church in Chester County with the Rev. Bill Coleman officating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Casey Funeral Home of Henderson in charge. Miss Rouse died Sunday morning at Jackson Madison County General Hospital after a one week illiness. She was born in Chester County's Five Points Community, a daughter of the late William Thomas and Louisia Emiline Rouse, and lived with her parents until her mother's death in 1959. She continued to live at the home place with her brother. She was a member of the Holly Springs Methodist Church, Surviving are a brother, John Edgar Rouse of Pinson; 5 nieces, Mrs. Fanny Bell of Ripley and Mrs. Jo Willis both of Henderson, Mrs. Wyneth Walkins of Pinson, Mrs. Lois Cowan of West Point, Ga., and Mrs. Lura Sheffield of Memphis; three nephews, Clyde Edward Rouse, Thomas Rouse both of Pinson, and Donald Rouse of Henderson. |
