The Crockett Times Alamo, (Crockett Co.) Tenn. Thursday, December 5, 1946 Mrs. Porter Rice Services were held Monday at the Tigrett Methodist Church for Mrs. Porter Rice by the Revs. T. E. Williams, A. L. Mays and J. D. Hill. Burial in Bowen's Chapel with Evans and Lasiter Funeral Home in charge. Mrs. Rice died at her home in Tigrett Saturday afternoon of a heart attack. She was born in South Carolina and had lived in Tigrett 32 years. Mrs. Rice, who was 59, formerly was a registered nurse. She was a Presbyterian. She leaves her husband; a son, Porter Bowen Rice of Tigrett; two daughters, Mrs. Walker Clark of Tigrett and Miss Sarah Rice of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Edgar Hunter of Warren, Ark., and four brothers, R. G. Garrison of Warren, Ark., John C. Garrison, Leon Garrison and Earl Garrison, all of Howard, Kan. |
