Dyersburg State Gazette posted January 21, 1974 Mrs. Johnnie Murphy Mrs. Johnnie Murphy, 139 Longfellow, died Sunday at Parkview Hospital. She was 63 and the wife of Ocie Murphy. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Holly Hills Baptist Church. The reverend Fred jones will officiate with burial at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mackey Joslin, Kassler Joslin, Fentress Joslin, Wendell Johnson, Max Stephens and Charlie Chandler. J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements. Beside her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Carlton Pratt of Dyersburg; three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Carson of Dyersburg, Mrs. Kathryn Guindon of Blue Island, Illinois, Mrs. Betty Zinney, Creswood, Illinois; three sons, Billie Murphy of Double Springs, Alabama, Coy Murphy of Chicago, Illinois, and Carl Murphy of Frankfort, Illinois; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Canada of Water Valley, Kentucky and Mrs. Alberta Pasturn of Chicago, Illinois, five brothers, Burnie Pratt, Leslie Pratt and Hubert Pratt all of Chicago, Illinois; Boyn Pratt of East Prarie, Missouri, and Leon Pratt of Wingo, Kentucky; 18 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. |
