Sonny Moody, 86, of Dyersburg died Saturday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg.

He was a retired farmer and a member of of Finley Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of J. W. Curry & Son Funeral Home in Dyersburg with Brother Tim Nichols officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

The widow of Tiney Moody, he leaves two daughters, Joyce A. Peery of Gladwater, Texas, and Debbi Jean Young of Dyersburg; two sons, James E. Moody of Tiptonville and Barry E. Moody of Dyersburg; 10 Grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and five great - great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Billy Moody.
