Dyersburg State Gazette Feb. 18, 1969 Mrs. Ada Moody Dies Here Today Today was longtime Dyer Countian's birthday, rites Thursday Mrs. Ada Moody, 615 Perry Circle, long time Dyer Countian and widow of Jess Moody died at her home this morning on her eighty - sixth birthday. Born in Henderson County. Mrs. Moody was the daughter of the late Bill and Tennessee Bartholomew Teague. She had lived in Dyer County for 48 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1958. Funeral services for Mrs. Moody will be held at 10 o'clock Thursday morning at Curry's Chapel here. The Rev. J. O. Smothers will officiate. Burial will be in Crowell's Chapel Cemetery near Lexington, Tennessee. Serving as pallbearers will be William Moody, Harold Moody, Eulis Moody, Wayne Moody, J. R. Wheeler, Don Wheeler, James Ketchum and Terry Ketchum. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George Wheeler , Finley, and Mrs. Bethel Wheeler, Dyersburg three sons, Odie Moody, Dyersburg and Aaron Moody and Coy Moody both of Finley; 19 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren |
