Birdie Hester

Mrs. Birdie Hester, 93, of Dyersburg died Friday morning at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg. She was a member of Big Boy Junction Church of God.

Services were at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Richard Felts. Burial was in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nola Leonard and Mrs. Annie Laura Wallace, both of Dyersburg; two sons, Virgil DeMoss of Clarksville, Ark. and Vernon Hester of Dyersburg; one sister Mrs. Louise Duncan of Flint, Mich.; one brother, Algie Greer of Detroit, Mich.; 12 grandchildren.
