Dyersburg State Gazette May 20, 1968 James O. Hager Rites are Today James Oscar Hager, 1754 Johnson Street, retired farmer, died at Parkview Hospital here Saturday morning. He was 79. Born in Dyer County, Hager was the son of the late Davis and Catherine Doss Hager, He was the husband of Mrs. Annie Ethel Mitchell Hager. He had lived at the Johnson street address for the past ten years. Funeral services for Hager were held at two o'clock this afternoon, Monday at Curry's Chapel. Mike Kiser, Church of Christ minister, officiated and burial was in Sudberry Cemetery at Friendship. Serving as pallbears were Owen Taylor, O.W. Bruce, Will Walker, Floyd King, T. L. Viar and Lonnie Joslin. Besides his wilfe, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Donald Wilson, Dyersburg and Mrs. Jim Bown, Chicago; a son James O. Hager, Jr., Dyersburg two brothers, Joe Hager, Dyersburg and Sam Hager, Fowlkes and two grandchildren |
