Dyersburg State Gazette July 11, 1972 Hassell Gamble of 1015 Dyer Street died Monday morning at the Veterans Hospital in Memphis. A World War II veteran, he was 54 years of age. He was a retired foreman for the city, and a member of Calvary Hill Baptist Church. Final rites will be Wednesday morning at ten o'clock at Curry's Chapel, with the Reverend Jerry Ashley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary Gamble, Johnny Hassell Gamble, Jimmy Gamble, Buddy Gamble, John Gamble and Thelbet Gamble. J. W. Curry and Son Funeral Home has charge of arrangements. He is survived by one son, Terry Gamble of Dyersburg; one sister, Mrs. Vera Halcomb of Dyersburg; three brothers, Thelbert Gamble and Lester Gamble, both of Dyersburg, and Clyde Gamble of Brownsville; and one grandson, Timothy Gamble. |
