Martha Doss

Martha Nell Carmon Doss, 74, of Fowlkes, died Sunday at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg.

She was a retired nurse, a member of Eastern Star and a Methodist.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Friendship Funeral Home with Rev. Burkeen officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She is survived by three sons, Ronnie Doss Sr., Jerome Doss Sr., both of Dyersburg and Donald Doss, of Fowlkes; four daughters, Patsy Shipman, of Meridian, Miss., Teresa Davis, of Dyersburg, Vicki Cook, of Fowlkes, and Sandy King, of Jackson; two sisters, Louise Hill, of Tigrett, and Neldred Hill of Menlo, Ga., a brother, King Miller Carmon, of Fowlkes; 18 grandchildren and three great – grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Minafore.
